Mr. Trennert is the managing partner and chief investment strategist of Strategas Research Partners, a firm that provides timely and insightful investment strategy, macroeconomic, and Washington policy research to institutional investors around the world. The firm is headquartered in New York, with offices in Washington, D.C. and Geneva. Mr. Trennert’s team has been ranked as one of the best investment strategists by Institutional Investor magazine in each of the last five years and in 2006, he was named to SmartMoney's Power 30 list of the most influential people in the world of investing. Previously, Mr. Trennert was the chief investment strategist and senior managing director at International Strategy and Investment Group Inc. (ISI Group) where he headed ISI's investment strategy team and also built and oversaw ISI's survey research effort. Mr. Trennert is widely quoted in the domestic and foreign press. He is a regular guest host on CNBC's Squawk Box, and is a frequent guest on a variety of other business television programs. He is the author of the popular investment book, New Markets, New Strategies, published in 2005 by McGraw-Hill.

 Mr. Trennert holds an MBA in finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BSFS in international economics from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service.
